Metro Media started the way most agencies do: one person, a laptop, and a stubborn conviction that there was a better way to do this work. The founder, Sharod Minton, had spent enough time in the industry to know exactly what he didn't want to build. Another bloated agency selling retainers nobody could measure.
So we built the opposite. A small, integrated team. Senior people doing senior work. Clear pricing. Honest reporting. The boring stuff that bigger agencies stopped doing because boring stuff doesn't scale.
Seven years later, we're still small by design. We turn down more work than we accept. Every engagement gets founder oversight. Every campaign gets the same level of obsession we'd give our own brand. The clients that work with us tend to stay, and tend to send their friends.
That's the whole story. No origin myth, no "we set out to disrupt." Just a team that decided to build the agency we'd want to hire.
